The Oak Room - 2 to 3 years (adult to child ratio 1:5)
The Oak Room provides children from 2 to 3 years with the opportunity to extend their emerging knowledge, skills, and attitudes to learning through open-ended, imaginative and creative experiences.
In the Oak Room children are encouraged to be independent communicators and begin to learn about their feelings. Children are able to independently access our sensory area and calming zone.

The latest offstead report said of our teaching...
'Highly effective, stimulating and exciting teaching is evident throughout the setting, meaning that children are motivated and active learners'
Our son is three years old and started at Oak Cottage in September 2024. This is his first experience in a childcare setting as he has been at home with mum until now.
It’s been such a positive experience for us all. The whole team at Oak Cottage are welcoming and helpful. Our son is a child who takes time to settle into new surroundings and to feel confident to be himself.
